this ones for the rats

how many of you have little kids that absolutely
HATE
having their hair brushed?!?!
(or even you, as an adult...don't we all hate rats and rats' nests in our hair...aka tangles)

well, i have 1, kid that is (my other kid doesn't have enough hair yet to have this problem #5montholdproblems), and i have found the miracle tool
to end all hair wars!

(well, maybe not end them, but more like make them more tolerable...she still doesn't
like to have her hair brushed, but this little gem
makes it a whole lot easier)

Behold, the GOODY TangleFix Hand-Held Brush

i picked up this brush, (at the dreaded Wal-Mart) as another tool,
in the sea of 20,000 hair brushes, whachamachalics, thingamajigs...
 to try and tame the
3 year olds, ratty, crazy, unruly hair
and alas
IT WORKS!!!

the brush is all plastic bristles that are at different lenghts
so it doesn't just pull the hair down straight,
but separates the pieces
and in turn detangles it without pulling or tugging.

now, i will admit, that yes sometimes the little beastling
has a horrid amount of rats
so i have to pull harder but ultimately
it gets even the hardest of rats nests out with very little
(and less painful)
pulling or tugging.

i especially love using this brush after bathtime,
it just makes her hair so silky soft.

(i've even used it on my own hair, just because...
i don't normally brush my hair,
but i love the feeling of running that through my hair and not have a tangle that
i can't conquer!)

so, if you are looking for a tool that does the trick
of getting the messy rats and rats nests (tangles),
out of your kid's hair
(or even yours)
then try this brush out

and if you hate it...don't blame me!!!  :)

Scuttles' 3rd Birthday

a few weeks ago was scuttles 3rd birthday.
i can't believe she is that old already!
birthdays are a special thing,
i, myself, believe that it is your day...
(i have never, and will never work on my birthday)
a day to do as you please, because it is YOUR very own
holiday.
(others may disagree, but oh well)
anyways, scuttles celebrated her birthday a few times this year.
on her actual birthday, she had her normal day
and of course ended it with
'old mcdonald's'
her fav.
and a few presents.
a few days later we had a little family lunch
at a hibachi grill,
because scuttles loves fried rice!
the hibachi was cool because not only did we get to watch the show,
but they brought her out a mini cake all while
banging on some drums and singing her happy birthday
and making her wear a huge chefs hat...
she loved it!
scuttles got lots of good presents,
more necessities than anything...
but, hey, that's what she needed, not another
5000 little toys that she will
only play with for 12 seconds.
but she did get one present that was pretty awesome.
well, i think it's awesome because i got it,
so i might be bias,
but
you see, she loves to takes pictures.
she's not a huge fan of being in the pictures but she loves to take them,
so i got her, her own kiddie camera.
(that way she will stop wanting to use my really nice one, this has
yet to happen :) )
anyways, this camera is super cool!
it has 2 eye holes for the little ones to look thru.
it has built in editing designs,
and even some games.
you can actually zoom in with the camera and upload the pictures
when you are done so that they can be shared
with all her loved ones...
haven't done that yet...
so, i'm making a recommendation
for anyone out there that may have a budding photographer in their mists,
or just have a toddler that likes to take selfies,
at least now they can try and take other types of photos...
try the vtech kidizoom camera.
this camera is awesome and it's def. a toy
that is played with often and can actually capture memories
to last the little one for a lifetime!
